PromoCie '23-'24

The PromoCie is the newest committee of Ramenlappers! We are an amalgamation of the MerCie and RamenlapPers. This year we will be working on designing clothes and accessories, taking photos and videos at the activities and the press booklet.

Our committee consists of John, Laura, Renée, Anna, Mart and Theuny. Every Monday evening there is time for dinner together, drinks and of course meetings. 

The PromoCie is looking forward to this year and we can't wait for the Ramenlappers to wear the designed clothes! 

My name is John de Jong and I will be leading the PromoCie this year as chair. It remains to be seen if this mess of unruly people can be kept in line! I have lived in Groningen for 3 years now, but I have Drenthe roots. Besides padel, I like to play tennis and guitar. When there is time left over from these hobbies, drinks and activities, I like to teach myself new design and multimedia techniques. This boomer started the committee year off right with an Ice at the first meeting!

Hello all!!! My name is Laura Akkerman and I am 22 years old. Since childhood I have been on the tennis court. Due to a shoulder injury, I started playing padel 1.5 years ago. After a recovery of 10 months, I may hit the court again! 🎾💪🏼 When I'm not playing sports, I'm working on something creative. My most recent little project is knitting a sweater! Whether this will be a success, I'm not so sure yet. We'll see...🧶

Hey! My name is Renée Visser and I am 24 years old. I was born and raised in Groningen, the Netherlands, and I'm currently doing a master's degree in Clinical Forensic Psychology and Victimology. After 6 years of almost no sport (oops) it was time to do something active again. This year I joined the Ramenlappers, where I now not only play padel, but am also a member of the PromoCie. Besides this new sport and study, I like to be creative in my free time; I like drawing, playing the piano or piecing together interior touches, among other things. I am very much looking forward to applying this within the committee as well!

Hi hi! I am Anna de Groot and I am part of the Promocie. Within this committee I will mainly deal with everything related to social media. I have been a member of the Ramenlappers for a year now and I enjoy this sport immensely. The level is not very good, but fun comes first. Besides hitting a ball every week, I am also definitely up for a party with some beers, which often culminate in a fun night out. Besides the fun life, I also have to study; I am currently in the last year of my studies in Sports Science. However, I am far from finished with the student life and will happily continue studying :) I am really looking forward to this fun committee year! 

Hey! My name is Mart Ruchti, 22 years old and I am the treasurer of this new committee this year. I joined this cool club in September 2022 and after a year full of padel, drinks and playing competition, I definitely wanted to become an active member. I study nursing at Hanseatic University and am currently in the third year of my bachelor's degree. In my free time I like to be with friends, play soccer and padel a lot. I definitely like to party and I don't skip a beer easily. The padel ball, on the other hand... :) Within the PromoCie I will of course keep an eye on the finances and everything that comes with it. I will also focus on the social media and look forward to documenting the fun moments and activities of the coming year. 

Hey, I'm Theuny Reiker, I'm 22 years old and have been living in Groningen for a few years now. I am now in my third year of nursing and this is also my third year with the Ramenlappers. Previous years I have been in the MerCie and the AcCie, and this year the PromoCie! Besides Padel, I enjoy sailing and am a sailing instructor at the sailing school. I also enjoy being in the pub and am always up for a game of beer pong!
