Hey everyone, this is the promoCie for this year; here are a brief introduction!

Hello, my name is Ruben Spannenberg, and I picked up the padel racket at the Ramenlappers this summer in high spirits. Let me put it this way: my commitment is good, but my talent is still under negotiation. I’m mainly there for the fun of it and to give others confidence, because playing against me is good for your statistics.

Off the court, I can regularly be found in the nightlife. No complicated stories or heroic achievements, just good times, friends, and going home a little too late. My specialty afterwards is a hamburger special; it never disappoints. During the week, I compensate for my sporting ambitions at TKB on the football field; I’ve discovered that a football is just a bit easier to hit.

Hi! I’m Matisse, I’ve been living in Groningen for almost 2 years now and I’m studying Business Administration; someone has to do it.

On the padel court, I am known for my commitment and my exceptional ball control (not always in a positive sense). Every now and then, there’s a brilliant shot, and that keeps me going for a few games.

Hey, my name is Jan.

Hi! I am Fardau Haven. A Frisian woman who really enjoys life in Groningen. The packed terraces and the lively atmosphere around the canals in the summer, and the cozy vibe the city brings in the winter: Groningen is just wonderful. Could be worse, as we say! And whether the sun is shining or icicles are hanging from your racket, I am *almost* always up for a game. Although playing padel in Mediterranean conditions suits me considerably better. Cooling off with an ice-cold cerveza in between the bandejas and chiquitas, getting just a little bit sunburned, and then shouting 'a tomato today, a chocolate tomorrow' suits me just fine! Furthermore, I am a civilian (yes, ouch) and I work in marketing. So, a spot on the PromoCie couldn't be missing!

Hi there, my name is Marien Riepma and I am currently in my second season with the Ramenlappers. I can often be seen full of passion on the padel court, where I can occasionally lose my temper slightly. That is why I believe my talents lie in the 7th game.

In my daily life, I teach at a primary school in Groningen. My student days have passed their prime, although I am busy working on achieving a second peak. After work, I can often be found with a golden beer at friends' houses, in a pub, and every now and then on the basketball court at the Groene Uilen Moestasj. I have also picked up sailing again a bit and will be sailing in April with team ROTC Groningen.

In short, a busy but fun schedule, and I am always up for a good conversation or a baking competition.
