ToeCo '25-'26

Hey Ramenlappers, this year's ToeCo consists of five people! These warriors are going to organize fantastic padel matches. We'll introduce everyone below.

Ilja,
Let's start with Ilja, the chair of ToeCo this year. This can get a little to her head at times, but it's a role she's perfect for. As the only woman in ToeCo, you have to be very assertive to keep the boys in line. Ilja is from Apeldoorn and loves a fun day out at the Apenheul Primate Park. But she's been living in beautiful Groningen for a while now. To further hone her padel skills here, you can find her behind the counter at Peakz (so be sure to text her for a discount). Furthermore, Ilja tells us every Monday that she's not going to drink, but she's already lost her spine somewhere along the way. You can definitely come and mop her up after three glasses of red wine. But besides occasionally helping with the maps, Ilja will manage to provide the committee with a good chair.

Rutger,
Rutger is an experienced Ramenlapper, hails from Amersfoort, and is studying Supply Chain Management. With this knowledge and experience, he always knows exactly how much beer is left in stock and where it can be picked up as quickly as possible. But seriously: Rutger is a smart guy, and people see it. So clearly, in fact, that everyone comes to him first with a question about the tournament, even though he's not the right person for it. This year, he's the treasurer, which, combined with his experience with Excel, will come in handy. He's a perfect fit for this committee: Rutger is very competitive. You'll definitely hear about him when he sweeps his opponents off the court 2-0.

Mark (the committee boomer)
Our Mark comes from the beautiful town of Eelde, and if you really want to learn about biology, he's the one to talk to our old friend is a biology teacher. This sometimes has an impact on our committee evenings: "No, I really can't drink too much, I'm in front of a class tomorrow." We wouldn't mind seeing Mark hungover in front of a class! We take him just as seriously as his students, of course... not so much ;)

Luckily, he can also use his teaching skills within the committee, because he's our one and only secretary. And boy, can he type!
But Mark has much more to offer: from the 48th spot on the ladder, he and fellow ToeCo star Maarten will show off their padel skills! We'll see!

Maarten,
Our youngest member, Guus Meeuwis, a fan and a true Brabander. His soft "G" is becoming more and more prominent at committee evenings with every beer he drinks. During the committee nights that Maarten hosts, there's an 80% chance that someone over 50 will suddenly appear in the GK, and no, this isn't his father, but his housemate. Maarten, the man who's taking on the role of Activities/Promotion this year, a role that, with his humor and creativity, suits him perfectly.

Kristan,
Our man from Zwolle and proud owner of the Activities/Promotion position. This man ticks off high-level sports like a bingo card: once a fanatic on the basketball court as a top athlete, now completely absorbed in padel. When he's not on the court, you'll find him in the digital arena, where he plays Clash Royale and TrackMania far too seriously. World title on the line? Always, according to Kristan. We simply call it fanaticism at its finest. You might also know him from customer service at Vattenfall, where he convinces every customer to sign a lucrative contract. In other words: the "best" combination of personal qualities to optimally fulfill his role.
