Ranking criteria

Within our club, we strive to ensure that training sessions are challenging and that you can continue to grow. One of the requirements for this is that the players within the training groups are as evenly matched as possible. This can be ensured by matching each member to an appropriate level of play: the more levels, the better someone can be matched to an appropriate level, the more daring the players within a training group are to each other. Due to increased membership, it is possible to introduce an additional level to the classification criteria next year. After the registration for a training period is over, the Technical Committee composes the training groups based on the following guidelines:

Level 1: Experienced

  • Rich in (match) experience with padel.
  • Very strong both technically and tactically.
  • Ranking 4/5.

Level 2: Advanced

  • A lot of (match) experience with padel.
  • Technical strokes are mastered and you can adapt to the opponent's game.
  • Ranking 6.

Level 3: Average

  • Experience with padel and/or other racket sports.
  • Technical strokes are beginning to be used.
  • Ranking 7.

Level 4: Recreational

  • Some experience with padel and/or other racket sports.
  • Basic strokes are more or less controlled.
  • Ranking 8.

Level 5: Beginner

  • Little to no experience with padel and/or other racket sports.
  • Ranking 9.

The training groups are divided by playing strength in order to get as many homogeneous groups as possible. As you specify more available training hours in your training application, you increase your chances of being assigned to a training group appropriate to your level. Training groups will consist of a minimum of four and a maximum of six.

* When in doubt about your level indication: feel free to ask your trainer for advice.
* The Technical Committee reserves the right to deviate from the above criteria based on solid motivation.
