Secretary - Brecht Nieuwenhuis
Hii there!!! My name is Brecht, 21 years old and next year I will fulfill the role of secretary within the board. As secretary your responsibilities will include membership administration, taking minutes of meetings and showing new members around the association.
The Frisian blood continues in this board! A few years ago I left the province of Groningen for the beautiful city of Groningen where I got to know the great sport of padel. At the moment I am working on becoming a teacher and also following a bachelor in Educational Sciences. I also try to pay for all the fun things Groningen has to offer with my job at Team050.
Padel was completely new to me and I had no experience with other racket sports. By following training sessions and playing many free games with fellow Ramenlappers I picked it up quickly. This is my third year with the Ramenlappers and second year as an active member of the club. From RamenlapPers committee to board is quite a switch, I know ;). But definitely one that is worth it!
My goal for this year is to involve new members even more in the association. For example, by informing them about all the fun things our club has to offer on and off the padel court. I also hope to make sure that everyone within the Ramenlappers is comfortable and feels at home.
I'm looking forward to making it a fantastic (lustrum!) year with lots of padel together with my fun board mates and the occasional little drink and dance of course! See you at the next drink or at the padel court!
