Hola!!!
I'm Sebas van Rhijn, but most will know me as Seb! 22 years ago I was born in the oh so beautiful Grunn, but most of my life has been spent in a province lower. In the city (or village?) of Emmen.
Since 2 years I have been playing padel, where before I always played soccer. I still enjoy watching soccer, but padel has really become my sport! I also enjoy spending evenings with friends, drinking beers and going into town (and singing a karaoke tune); I rarely miss a party! I am also someone who loves humor, because a day without laughter, well, you know the clichรฉ! Besides padel and lots of fun, I also study a bit. Currently I am studying Sociology at the RUG and I am in the final phase of this study.
This year I will represent the 5th board of the Ramenlappers together with 5 other top players (Lustrum year!). The function I have within the board is "Internal Affairs". This position means that I will be dealing with all committees and the important issues that come with it.
In addition, I will act as the contact person for the active members. I myself have done 2 years of committee at the Ramenlappers: the AcCie and the ReisCie. These were 2 great years and I can really recommend them to everyone! I made a lot of friends, organized a great trip to Spain and many other activities with a nice group!
In addition, the sparring days, activities and drinks are real highlights! I always look forward to them and so far every time it has been a great success: padel, socializing and partying! My goal for next year is to get as many people as possible excited about this. I always say: 'the Ramenlappers is more than padel ;)'.
As most of you know by now, the club is celebrating its first ever Lustrum and we will make this year even more special! With the group of active people we have now, we will make it happen! I have a lot of confidence in all the committees, everyone in the committee has his/her own qualities and I think that together we are going to organize and make great things!
I am really looking forward to making it a great year together with my fellow board members! And of course together with the whole association to put the Ramenlappers even more on the map!
